caring

caring

Do you care about the work you do?

The natural answer is "yes, I care”, but that's not an answer; that's a reflex.

Do you care about the output or about what your boss thinks? Or that the result genuinely benefits everyone involved?

These are very different things, and confusing them leads to very different outcomes.

Talk is cheap. Anyone can say they care. But intentions are something you can actually control, and they should always be the best you can summon. Do it as if we lived in a utopian world, even when we don't.

Assume good intentions in others, not because people are always good, but because life is measurably better when you operate that way, and more often than not, things turn out better for it.
